We are a hui (group) of `ekolu (three) complimentary businesses that celebrate our unique way of life in Hawai`i. Our intention is to share with guests our people, products, experiences, and values of our island home we call Hawai`i. It is time for us to tell our own stories. Our stories carry our MANA (spiritual power), and the mana of communities represented, and in doing so, offer to all who enter the mana of Hawai`i TODAY.
Please join us for our FREE cultural classes offered, in house at MANA HAWAI`I in our new Studio Waikiki Beach Walk. Please come to register 10 minutes before classes begin. Some classes have limited seating.
Lei Making 4 pm- 5 pm: In Hawai`i, the lei is a hawaiian symbol of welcome, friendship, and love. Create a beautiful lei Hawaiian style, the best way to learn is by doing!
E `olelo Hawai`i kakou- Let's speak Hawaiian! 10 am-11 am: The gathering is to help you practice and LEARN Hawaiian language. The focus is on the pronunciation of Hawaiian words, place names, and direction names. A little bit of language goes a long way, especially in helping you understand a Hawaiian world view

Entry to Hula with Germaine
Learn simple steps and appreciate the gentle rhythms and moves of our Hawaiian Culture connection to the past. "Hula is the language of the Heart", come and experience ancient and contemporary Hula.

Strum Along `Ukulele Class (for adults and keiki akamai) 4pm- 5 pm: The `ukulele is a favorite instrument of locals-young and old. Everyone plays, and if you don't- you should learn! We will teach some basic chords and a few melodies so you can strum along. Take a lesson or two, watch someone else play, do whatever it takes to join in- that IS the island way!
Hula Lessons with Kumu Hula Germaine Haili 10 am-11 am: Learn simple hula moves (THE BASICS) to get everyone in the family moving! This is an opportunity to learn something about how we celebrate our love of Hawai`i nei! Spend time with the family and have some fun, while working out a different set of muscles. The family that sways together stays together!

Smile and and learn our cultural music making treasures with our
basic Ukulele class. You will be pleasantly surprised by what you can learn.
Mike's history of instruments and implements class - call for confirmation begining Jan 1, 2010. starting times may vary. This class is scheduled around Waikiki Beach Walk concert series.
You can book all classes above for private sessions. Book ahead for your group. In our Hale Halau room we can accomodate up to 35 seated. 25 dancers for any of the above for a small fee. Small fee will be applied. To get best instructors and class schedule best to book 1 week in advance. Call Germaine at Mana Hawai'i at 1808-923-2220.
